Dear Sir/Madam,

Thanks for looking here in the first place.
The problem i have is simply " Connect" Button in the software does not work.

1) Deleted IE history
2) After deleting IE history the usb stick can not be used to connect to the net.
3) Most Of the time now software does not recognize the device.
4) Software's Big Green colour Connet button is not working.

What i did.
Uninstalled the software & restarted the laptop. Then Plugged the usb. a Window came & installed the Software from that pop up window.
result- does not work
Also did a System Restore. also did not work. the version is 10 On Windows Vista .
Thanks

I read the guide on this site. it says
Check your connection setting
You need to create a Single Service Profile.

Go to 'Tools', 'Profiles' and select 'New'.
Click 'Next' on Mobile Phone or PC data card with 'Data card' selected.
On following screen select 'Only use GPRS network', click 'Next' and 'Finish', 'Retry' connection.

---
Where is the Tools? is it in Vodafone software or IE. btw i installed the newest version of the software. also connected the usb to another laptop and it works fine. Now the Software recognizes the device but still the CONNECT button is greyed out.
I SEE a blinking flah blue light in the stick.

Thanks

Hi Positive Trance,

A warm welcome to the eForum!:)

I'm hardly an expert with VMC and dongles however I'd say it looks like your doing everything correctly, it may be worth temporarily disabling your firewall in case this is blocking the connection.

It would be great if you have access to another computer you can test the dongle with, if it works with another laptop/desktop PC then we can rule out a hardware problem with the modem itself.

Thanks

Holly
