Content_encoding_error

I got the following error message on a couple of websites:

Content_encoding_error

Server response could not be decoded using encoding type returned by server.

I am using a Mac and this happens both when using Firefox and Safari. I don't get the error however if I use another broadband connection (i.e. not Vodafone mobile USB).

I have tried everything and can't seem to resolve it. A search on the internet suggested it might be some sort of compression issue.

Help!

Hi Paulglass,

Unfortunately there's nothing built in to the software that will let you disable this - however, you can download a program called ByteMe Optimizer which will allow you to turn off all optimisation on your connection :)

Let us know if this resolves the issue.
