Could not activate mobile data network iOS 9

So I have done the latest iOS 9 update and keep getting the "could not activate mobile data network. You are not subscribed to a mobile data service" ever since. I do have data (1.7 gb) I have made sure it is switched on, I can connect via wifi and make and receive calls. I have tried a soft reset (power+home buttons) nothing seems to be working. I don't want to do a hard reset on my phone either. I'm just stuck anyone any ideas on how I can get my data usage back please?
Thanks
Sarah

Can you try your sim in another phone as the update may have not caused the current issue. If the sim works in another oho e ok you could then have the iPhone looked at an Apple Store via a https://www.apple.com/uk/retail/geniusbar/ appointment.

Or if you don't have a local  store then pop into your local Vodafone store and they may let you try your sim in a store phone.

Also check your masts.

Please use the Zoom out feature in the map to check surrounding areas for issues.
