Does Vodafone still support CSD or HSCSD modems?

I am trying to get a data connection between two data modems. I have a PAYG SIM.

From the modem, I can make a voice call to my phone, but when i try to call another modem i get NO CARRIER.

Is this kind of data connection still supported by Vodafone UK?

CSD is not something I've come across being used for data for a significant amount of time as GPRS took over. Therefore your modem will not operate on Vodafone's GPRS network.

I am not talking about a TCP/IP connection.

I want to send data from one modem directly to another. Not using the internet.

@ahkle - CSD or HSCSD is no longer supported as mentioned by @PedroC1999.

@Charles - is there a set end date for termination of the CSD system in the UK ?

Hi @ivts1234

Circuit Switched Data (CSD) began to get processed out when GPRS was introduced. I can't give you an exact date when Vodafone stopped supporting it but I can say that we no longer support it.
