K5150 PAYG Dongle will not acces 4G on Windows 7 PC

My K5150 dongle will not access 4G on PAYG. This on the original and replacement cards.

The dongle works ok with a pay monthly SIM however.

What do I need to do?

Hi @Tobibear2

You are going to need the correct settings for PAYG.  Please see below.

How do I set up by tablet or data dongle for internet access?

Hello @Tobibear2

Have you had a chance to check the settings associated with your device?

If so, did this sort out the problem?

Thanks,

Sarah

My version of Windows 7 has no option to amend an apn. The Vodafone app loaded by the sim will not accept the 4G only option and will not connect to 4G under 4G preffered option.

Windows 10 asks for an apn and I have set up a new one as per the link you gave me but it is over ridden by the original one being reloaded by the Sim almost immediatly.

3G+ is the best I can get on PAYG even though I can see the 4g antenna.

Monthly Sim on K5150 is fine.

Default APN is smartweb with undisclosed locked password

Please talk with our Live Chat Team, @Tobibear2

They can investigate this further for you.

Thanks,

Sarah

If you are still having problems then try the sim card in a suitable iPad (or Android device). Make sure that 4G is enabled and that the APN settings are correct. This will tell you if the problem is sim or dongle related.
