K5150 - "No Device" error - not in Vodafone support list?

Although my DVD/CD unit is perfectly ok now (see my previous post), I still get "No Device" message sometimes. When this happens if you type in at the command line "View Network Connections" and select that from the list, you will see that the NDIS device is not listed by Windows i.e. it has not found it.

Remote NDIS is a Windows product, but I have found this on the internet - I am not sure how uptodate it is but it would appear that the list of Vodafone dongles supported by Windows 7 NDIS does not include K5150!!

https://www.business.vodafone.com/site/bus/public/enuk/support/10_productsupport/os_support/windows7...

Can anyone from Vodafone shed any light on this??

Have I contracted for a dongle which is not supported by Windows 7??

Hi prom22,

While some devices not on that list may run Windows 7 with some tweaking, we can't guarantee compatability.

Thanks,

Ben
