Myfi mobile wireless not working

Mywi dongle has not worked for a week.  Battery is charged, SIm card has been checked and replaced, but no signal being received - device is on but signal bars show up red, not green.

 

40 mins on phone to customer support, they insist it is a temporary network coverage issue and refuse to acknowledge device could be broken.  It's not a network issue, unless the network works nowhere in London over the past week in which case there is no point in having the device (I have tried it all around London over the past week).

 

Tried reset etc.

 

Advice welcome - hopefully Vodafone will issue a replacement device but call handler refused so far, so I think I will cancel subscription.
