Vodafone K3565 Modem - Can I Top It Up Abroad?

If I take a 15 pound voucher abroad and top up from My Account page will that count as a action that extends the validity or would I just be wasting my money, I normally visit the UK at least once every 6 months, (180 days) but on occasions it could be a bit longer and I would of course still like to keep it active.

Anyone have any knowledge/experience of this.
