i can't use my headphones properly on my htc desire as the input jack is too loose the jack doesn't 'click' in and will fall out at the slightest touch is this just a fault on my handset or are they loose on all the phones if it's just mine then i presume that it can be rctified under warranty as using the earphones is a major feature of any mobile phone

I’m sorry that you are having issue with your headphones on your phone.
Can I ask if you are having issues with all headphones or just the one set?
Are these your own headphones or the ones included in the box?
If it is with all headphones then we can get this repaired under the warranty of the phone for you free of charge.
If it is simply one set of headphones then we will need to look at if these are the ones in the box you’re your own before I could give a definitive answer on a resolution for you.

We would always recommend backing up the content of your phone before sending it for repair just in case any firmware is updated on it. Also if the handset is beyond economical repair it will be replaced.
If you have insurance on your account with Vodafone we can provide a loan phone. Unfortunately this option isn't available for customers who don't have insurance when sending the phone for repair.
