Adding photos to contacts

Does anyone know how to add photos to people in your address book? They're appearing for facebook contacts etc but I can't see how to add them for basic contacts. I tried importing to phone from SIM to see if they then synched, which I've seen as suggested advice on other forums, but that didn't do anything. In fact didn't even import the contacts. Any ideas? I can't see a manual option to do it. Thanks.

Real easy, but not obvious....
Open the contact, press Menu and then edit, and at the top left corner it shows a greyed head silouette/icon. Press it...and you get the choice of where to import the photo from

Thanks. I had a go at this but when you click on a contact the head appears only momentarily and is then replaced by the sim icon, so I don't get time to press it to do anything!! Am I doing something wrong??

I am guessing that you contacts are saved to the SIM card (and not the phone), and hence it will not allow "addtional" data to be stored there because SIM card can only store "basic" info.
If you click on HTC People (or People), then the menu button, you can import all of your SIM contacts to the phone - I believe you will be able to add the photo then.
However what you will find then is that you may have duplicate entries shown in People - you can fix that by clicking People/Menu/View and unselecting the SIM entry.
