Content Bar

Hi all,

So I bought my contract about a week ago. As I expected it had a content bar on the account which I immediately got removed. It worked fine up until today, I was browsing the same site this morning (which does have content unsuited for under 18s) no problems at all. No when I browse to any type of age restricted site I get the message:

Unfortunately due to a temporary fault we are unable to confirm if you have removed content control. As a precautionary measure, Content control has blocked access to this site until your status is confirmed. Please try again later.

I have spoken to Vodafone over the phone twice. The first time they re-added the bar and then removed it. I then switched my phone off for about 10 mins. Then switched it on, cleared the cache and internet history but still I get the same message. I rang again and they confirmed the bar was not on. They advised it may be an issue with the website. Sadly not, I tried to access a made up offensive URL (excuse my French www.######.com) but this throws up the same message so not a problem with the site. Can anyone help??

Ive had this before and it is just a temp problem at there end where they cant confirm if peoples bars are on or off and so to be on the safe side they block sites until they have fixed it. So until then there is nothing either you or cs can do i wouldnt of thought.

Ps: Them kind of sites will make you go blind in the end. :smileywink:

Hi iklowe

A big welcome to the eForum. It’s always nice to see new people here.:smileyhappy:

I can see how frustrating this can be.:smileysad:

Just as cjm1979 stated, this may just be a temporary issue, but to be on the safe side, I’ve also got an email sent out to you, to your eForum registered address, to allow me access to your account. If you are still having issues, just complete and return the email, if everything starts to work as usual, you can ignore it, or respond to say all is well.

I’ll look forward to hearing from you.

Regards
