People,

Just a couple of "niggles" that you may be able to help (confirm/deny) with?

Using Maps (Locations) (NOT the Google maps, but the "onboard" maps), and whilst navigating. You can see the actual vehicle speed at the bottom, yes? Does this always show in RED, or does it only show in RED when you exceed the speed limit (ie greater than 70mph on a m/way, dual carriageway. Greater than 30mph in a 30 zone etc). I have found that the speed display starts to display in RED if one is doing any more than about 24mph  :-( Just wondered if others have the same "problem"?

Also, the weather display (on the home page). Does this animate for you?? It SHOULD do, and certainly does on my Desire, but the HD does not show any animation. Wonder if this is normal, or again an issue?

Locking the phone. To lock the phone, a quick press on the power button. Does your screen go black immediately? (it does on my Desire), but with the HD, a quick press on the power button sends the screen black, and then immediately bright again, now displaying the "slide to unlock" bar for about 10 seconds, before going black (off)

As I said, just a couple of niggles, but maybe someone can offer their "three penneth" :-)

Not sure about locations - haven't used it yet! The weather display is animated on my handset. Quickly pressing the power button sends the screen black, end of. Until I press it again, then get the slide to unlock display.

Ref animations - Menu, settings, display settings, animation - set to "all window animations are shown"

Cheers Steve, Seems my "niggle" may be justified then, as when I quickly touch the power button, the screen goes to black, then reappears with the slide, then after about 10secs goes to black again. As stated in my original post, the DESIRE goes straight to black having quickly pressed the power button. :-( Cheers

Checked that before, and have just checked again. Yes I DO have "All annimations" checked, so seems ANOTHER slight problem. Okay, it's not a HUGE issue, but an ANNOYING issue  :-(
