Distorted Speaker - Faulty Phone

My HTC Desire HD as all of a sudden started distorting from the loud speaker, so when listening to music, watching youtube videos or just putting the phone on loud speaker during a call. This is the 3rd handset I have had through this contract and am very dissapointed in the phone. What can be done about this? Surely its still covered under the warranty with it being less than 12 months old.
I find the customer services useless and can normally not understand what I am explaining so will not ring it.
Also after calling customer services last month about ongoing signal issues with the phone i was promised a reduced bill for the month and this has not been applied.
After being with vodafone for years I am very unhappy with the service I have been provided with in the last couple of years and will be moving to another network when the contract runs out.
Thanks Gareth

If I take my handset into the store it will be sent away with no "courtesy" phone and I will be left without for 2 weeks, with it being a requirement for work this is not an option. Plus even if it is replaced I will still have the same handset that I have had numerous of problems with. There must be another option.

Hi gjbmw,
I've sent another PM for you here should you still wish to do a repair with us.
If you have insurance on your account, you'll be offered a loan phone to use (stock willing) while your device is in for repair. Alternatively, if you'd prefer to discuss warranty options with the manufacturer directly, you can find HTC's contact details here. ![]()
Cheers, Ben
