HTC Desire - Push Email, Will there be a charge?

Any ideas as to whether push email will be supported as standard on the HTC Desire or if i'll have to sign up to the £10 a month option  ( like the £5 one i have on my blackberry)?

Yep, no extra charge for such things unlike the BlackBerry service ^_^

I downloaded an app call TouchDown... deals with Exchange sync. its a 30 day trial but $19.99 is nowt for an app that works this well.

You'd need Touchdown if you require Exchange Sync. I can't remember if K-9 actually added such functionality or not. If not then Touchdown is reported to be the best to deal with full Exchange sync.

Hi wexten, and welcome to the eForum!

The Desire doesn't boast a 'BlackBerry'-style subscription based push email service as such, but as pointed out by a few guys on the thread, anything you do pick will be included in your 500 meg data allowance (presuming you already have this added). Let us know if you need anything else, and remember to check out our HTC Help page (Desire coming soon!) if you get stuck with its operation - might save you some time in the future!

500Mb is actually ample if you just browse the net, get updates, email, chat etc. You'd only eat that up if you were downloading and streaming loads of videos. You can go a little beyond that without extra charge but if you go well beyond the "fair use" then you'll get charged.

been using mine since thursday with it constantly getting updates and i've only downloaded 1.2meg.

I do use wireless about 50% of the time.... got a cool data monitor app so i can keep track of 3g usage.
