HTC Desire and Generic Network Failure

Hi,
I have looked through this forum, and others, to see if there is a solution to the problem of not being able to send or receive picture messages. I have tried a new SIM card, factory reset, checking the settings, turning WIFI off etc without any success.
Is this basically a problem with HTC phones or Vodafone?
There seem to be a lot of people having this problem but I can't find a solution.
My phone is the original Desire and I am on monthly contract.
I have been able to send and receive picture messages in the past.
Any help or suggestions greatly received as this has become really annoying that I can't use a feature I am paying for.
My contract will be up in January, and at the moment I will be looking to change the phone manufacturer if this is a HTC issue.
Any advise on which phones to consider next?
Thanks in advance.
Andy

Hello AndyMillar,
Many thanks for your question regarding using picture messages on your handset.
MMS is not something you pay for unless you actually use the service. That said, I'd like to see if there's anything we can do for you. It could be something as simple as a temporary suspension on your account that is preventing you from using this service. We'll need to see your account to confirm this though.
In the meantime, have you considered sending any pictures you wish to share over email? It's a cheaper option as the data would be deducted from your inclusive allowance rather than a charge to your account for 36p. There's also the option to share the picture via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram amongst others, should you wish ![]()
I've sent you a PM which can be accessed here. If you could follow the instructions in the PM and send us your details one of the team will be with you as soon as they can.
Cheers,
LeeH
