why cant i play the video content on certain sites? BBC website for instance, where I used to be able to play the videos, but now just get the yellow triangle & told flash content not supported

has anyone else had this? & can I fix it?

Sounds like you need to update Flash

most flash content works - but the video embedded in the web page linked here wont

& I dont understand why this is - most video content does, but these used to & they done any more.

Thanks for posting. So that I can test this for you, can you please let me know which version of the Desire you're using. Also, if you could let me know the firmware version it's running as well, that will help. This can be found as follows:

• Go to the main menu
• Press Settings
• Press About Phone
• Press Software Info

Once I have this information, I'll be able to look into this further for you.

Thanks for the reply. I've got a desire hd with software number 1.72405.3

I'd be interested to know what you find. It seems completely random - sometimes i'm getting the yellow triangle, & at others they work.

Thanks for the reply, I still have problems on the BBC website. Except now in reverse. The embedded videos work, but the whole of the.videos section does not. It's crazy as its only the BBC website. Any ideas or solutions ?

I'm now running 10.3 flash, & heres some examples:

none of the videos on this link will work. all i get is a white box where the video should be.

heres another - they work fine on my pc - but nothing on my deisre hd - which is frustrating as I thought it was supposed to be able to play these - in fact it used to, but now it cant, & other than either the bbc or the desire hd not having the same / most up to date versions of flash, I'm at a loss..

I had the white screen on my desire hd. i uninstalled flash back to the factory installed version, then reinstalled the updates, and it seems to have worked. hope this helps

adam, thanks for the tip, but I did a factory reset on friday (2 days ago) & uninstalled falsh & reinstalled 10.3 & its still the same

benj I've now got software version 2.36.405.8

any other info you need, let me know - i would love to get it fixed!!!!!!

 Which browser are you using? The links you gave works fine on both my Sensation and Desire using Dolphin Browser HD.

Cjm - I'm using the internet browser as supplied with desire hd.

U got my hopes up, I've downloaded dolphin hd browser & have exactly the same. Just a white box where the video should be & it won't load the video to play it. FRUSTRATING
