Re: desire s sd card

Yes you will get a memory card. You may want to consider upgrading to a bigger/better one. If you do check carefully for compatibility because not all cards are made equal. I would suggest class 4 or better and they are fairly cheap these days.

In any case you should be good to go as soon as  the phone arrives,

[ Edited ]

Mine came with a Samsung 8GB class 2. Which was adequate, but I'd agree with dcarmi that a class 4 would be better, ideally class 6 for smoother 720p video recording

I've bought myself a Kingston 32GB class 4 which works very well & means I can have my entire 20GB music collection with me always :smileyvery-happy: The Desire S has excellent audio play back (far superior to the original Desire), I've very pleased with the

combination, though the initial sync with Songbird took forever!

Apparently they do a 16GB class 10 too, but I have no experience of that.

I had issues with the 32GB class 10 card from Patriot when I tried it, I've also seen poor feedback of the Lexar class 10 with the Desire, so you might want to avoid those

I've also used a 8GB Samsung class 4 (they now do a very reasonably priced class 6 version), which worked flawlessly

Best of luck, hope this information helps :smileyhappy:

"Oggle away" Vampfy  :-)  :-)

Go on, you know you want to get one ;-)

To be truthful, I'm not too sure how much of a difference YOU may notice in using the Class 10 over the class 4, but in theory the C10 SHOULD be quicker of course.

Certainly a good price, and have varified with PNY direct that they are the suppliers to Play.com

Cheers

NB/

Currently have an 8Gb Sandisk (C4/C6?) in my DHD, but card getting full, and I don't wish to delete files

Re: desire s sd card

On a SLIGHTLY off-topic note.. You've had both Desire and DHD.. Was there much of an improvement in moving to DHD? I've never had a better experience than with my Desire, but that's partially because it's been modded to hell, and no longer resembles the HTC Desire you'd walk out of the shop with :smileyhappy:

Re: desire s sd card

:-)

Okay on the "modding". Nice move. I haven't actually taken that step myself, although there's a "lot to be said" about it.

Anyway, back to the HD. More onboard memory, RAM. Faster. More "real estate" of the screen. More functionality. Just preferred a few of those things, and of course the form factor.

I've always had Nokias, and sworn by them, until the N97 and N97Mini Total disasters, and the END of Mokia as far as I am concerned. HTC and Android IS the way forward :-)

(be better still when I get Gingerbread) :-)  Still waiting :-(

Cheers
