Other than size what's stopping you getting the One X? I could never get something knowing there was something better at the same time

It would be the difference in price tariffs, The x will surely be a lot more.

I also have a dhd and think that's the limit in terms of size for me.

Fair enough, although I don't think there'll be too much of a difference in price if you go through a 3rd party to get the handset (as well as it not being Vodafone branded)

Other than price, I'm not convinced the quad processor is really necessary; you'll certainly need to carry a charger with you everywhere you go!

Unlikely, I can get over 24hrs as it is now with dual-core. There's no way HTC would release a phone that couldn't deal with day-to-day use

Amazon is listing the X @ £499 and the S @ £439.

They also state 5th April for the releas do you think VF will also coincide?

What would that be in terms of tariffs if you were to guess..?

Any update on this?  The guy in the Vodafone shop thought the price plans were being announced yesterday?  I only ask as there are already some cracking deals online for the One S and One X.

Think the tariffs are rather high - they are more so than the iPhone 4S!

Spoken to vodafone this morning via...well...the phone! Currently they "can" only offer the pre-order price for the HTC One S and One X...and aren't able to offer any upgrade deals etc.

The rationale for this is that the phone is on a different "system".

Translation?

"We are only going to offer the newly arriving phones at the standard price for a bit, so we can get as many people who are desperate to get the phone on release day as possible to sign up to those tariffs. When thats done, then we start talking about upgrade deals to everyone else"

I suppose it makes good commerical sense to try and make as much money as possible on potentially higher tariffs, but somewhat dissapointing for those of us that have been holding fire on an upgrade for this specific release...and now have to wait a bit longer still.

Personally, I've requested my PAC code...and if one of the other networks can give me a better offer than these pre-order prices I will probably jump ship.
