HTC One V

Is the HTC One V going to be available as there is no sign of it on the website - pre order or otherwise.....?

Re: HTC One V

Then there are better options than the One V. Trust me, I've had a go on all three

The One S might have a large screen but weighs next to nothing and is thinner than the iPhone 4S - it's a seriously good phone

End of the day it's your choice but in this instance it's a false economy

Re: HTC One V

The One V only has 4Gb of onboard storage, whereas the One S has 16Gb and the One X has 32Gb.

DropBox may be prevented from hosting Music files in the future, so the 4Gb of the One V could become an issue.

It's definitely something to consider as the One range of phones do not have Micro SD expansion available, (as far as I know).

Re: HTC One V

False economy would be paying more for a phone i don't want or need.

I have no doubt that the One S is an amazing phone but all I want is a small phone that phones, takes a half decent picture and is reasonable at browsing the net occasionally, that's it, don't watch films, video, use it for music or downloading.

The One V is already a step up from my current 3.2" 600Mhz phone and im sure it will more than meet my requirements in a phone.

Re: HTC One V

Zaskar,

I went from a 3.2inch HTC Magic to the 3.7inch Nexus One. I thought then it would be a big jump but there is no way i could go back to a smaller phone. The physical handset was almost exactly the same as th casing design had shunk.

I have recently upgraded to a 4.65inch Galaxy Nexus and can honestly say it feels about the right size. I've wondered several times how i managed with the small screen. Everything is so much clearer on the bigger screen, its great!

You never mentioned what phone you have just now?

Re: HTC One V

I currently have a HTC HD Mini, I had it specifically due to the small size. I still like it after nearly 2 years, (im not a big follower of phone fashions!) but its starting to show its age now - GPS has recently stopped working.

Re: HTC One V

I know its an older model but have you considered the Desire S, I too don't like big phones and just taken the step up from the HTC Legend. I find the desire S just the right size 3.7" screen

Re: HTC One V

I have indeed considered a Desire S. I recently went in store to look at one and also a similar sized HTC Radar. They knew nothng of the Radar even though its on the website but I had a play with a Desire S. Thats when they brought the One series to my attention and the One V caught my eye but they had no info on when or if which brought me here....

Re: HTC One V

I hope the HTC One V does come to Vodafone, it is just what i have been waiting for.

I'm an HTC Legend user and have had my fingers crossed for a Legend-like replacement for a while. Looks like the One V fits the bill perfectly.

My contract is up for renewal soon so this could be perfect timing.

I love the elegant design of the Legend and One V - honest and timeless, It'll still look good in another 2 years.

Will my sim card still work if i put it in a one v bought from htc directly ?

Re: HTC One V

Hi Paul12,

As per my previous post, if we do decide to range the HTC One V, it will be on our Coming Soon page.

You can use your Vodafone SIM in the handset if you purchase it directly from HTC.

If it takes a micro SIM, then you can pick one up from any Vodafone store and this will be registered to your number.

Cheers

Ian
