Got this upgrade last Friday, 9 days after it was ordered due to DPD stealing it from the depot and when it did turn up it had no microsim in it, did the update and noticed on sat afternoon it restarted itself whilst it was just sat idle on the arm of the chair and not after being in certain apps which I have seen many people post about

Was ok sunday but did it again last night where it wouldnt switch on at all, even putting the charger in did nothing, no charge light no power nothing

After 30mins the bottom 3 icons flashed white and it restarted, i checked the battery level and it was 75% so wasnt that, and it seemed ok however it did a restart again shortly after

Vodafone agreed to swap it today after calling them last night, phone is sat next to me here at work, hasnt been used since last night but has rebooted twice in 4 mins!

So, Do I get rid of the phone and go for an Iphone, keep new one and just not complete the update or hope that the update will be ok on this phone?

Tried factory reset, made no difference but mine restarts whenever it feels like it, its not certain app dependant

Any ideas??

try typing *#*#DIAG#*#* and that will bring up the HTC testing mode.

see if there is anything in there you could test to see if any errors come up

Well well! Was supposed to be swapped over yesterday, Had the texts etc confirming it and it never turned up!

So I rang up last night, Was told it will be today, got the texts sent, dispatch with tracking etc and guess what, Its not coming today due to the courier apparently taking it back to vodafone for no reason!

Didnt show anything im afraid, Phone is constantly turning off and restarting

Hi,

My phone was having trouble making calls then after clicking to restart my phone, it just keeps restarting. I have tried a factory reset which doesn't work. Any suggestions?

I ve had the same issue with the restarting etc untll it gave up completly ( i m out of the country at the mo so cant sort it till im back ) does this mean a new phone is needed ? which doesn't bother me , but what does worry me is will I be loosing all my photos and documents that are on the current bricked phone , as I know there still on it as its probably I either battery issue or system software issue as many error messages kept coming up before it wouldn't restart at all ? I really can't afford to lose the photos or some of the documents .....

I'm afraid both devices sound faulty to me. You'll need to submit them for a Vodafone Repair.

@ blacksheep - If you pop into your local store on your return to the UK my colleagues will be able to use Vodafone Red Box to back up your photos. I'm not sure they'll be able to retrieve your documents though.
