Re: HTC One X

Do they stock these micro sims in a store?

When I pick mine up will they be able to give me one?

Re: HTC One X

Risky in case you break it, but don't some people make their own micro sims by cutting existing ones down?

Re: HTC One X

OMG, didn't even know you could do that, I'm a biy clumsy when it comes to things like that!, I hope you can pick one up from the store, that would be the best option, they will have to give you one, they won't be able to set it up for you otherwise, unfortunately mine is being delivered to home address, wish I'd done store option in hindsight! I just hope it all imports over from old to new phone ok, Oh dear, I'm going to have sleepless nights!

Guys, received the email this morning saying the phone was out of stock. Went to complain in store first thing. Store manager sympathised as she had one on pre-order too and she had also received the same out of stock email. Gave her my number and she said she'd ring if she heard anything. Half an hour later she phoned me saying that the phones had arrived. I'm writing this message using said phone...it's a pretty amazing piece of kit!

With regards to the micro sim. Mine didn't come with one but they do have them in store so they just gave me one from stock. Pretty crap they don't automatically send you one though.

Anyway, I'm now a very happy bunny! And a special thanks to Kate, the store manager at Sheffield Fargate branch for helping me out!

Re: HTC One X

What are you wanting to import over?

If its contacts, copy all your contacts from phone/Sim to you Google account, then as soon as you sign in with your new phone they'll be there. Makes managing them easier too, as you can modify via any desktop browser, adding photos grouping numbers etc

Re: HTC One X

Just got my callback as well, unfortunately they weren't able to help out on pricing at all as apparently they have no flexibility on pricing for 12 month deals.

I'm not keen on going over 12 months at the best of times to be honest and especially not on a phone with a non replaceable battery

So I'll probably sit out the last month and a half of my contract and then look at my best options in terms of phones and networks at the end of it, may even have to consider 18 months then although probably not on the One X!

Re: HTC One X

@Filo25 you can buy the phone for about £450 on payg via a reseller then get a sim only deal for about £10-£12. That's about £570 over 12 months. I can't imagine finding it much cheaper tbh on a 12 month contract.

There are some more reasonable 18month contracts on a few resellers though. £33.50 a month with and £60 for phone was the best vodafone one I found (before cashback :smileywink:)...

Re: HTC One X

Thanks for that Mark, I'll definitely look into those options when I get closer to the end of my current deal so I have a bit more flexibility, I know last year when I tried to terminate my existing contract early Vodafone tried to stiff me on it, I would actually have had to pay more than the remaining value of my contract at the time to terminate it which seemed ludicrous!

Sounds like a good reseller deal anyway, clearly I need to do some further investigation!

Re: HTC One X

I'm very interested in upgrading to the One X but none of the contract options in the Vodafone shop suit my requirements so is it possible to be added to the Callback list please? I'd rather talk to an adviser so I can explain what I am after. Thanks.
