Hi All,
Cant find this specific info either and Ive been trying this and saving photo from web problem most the morning without success.
If I have a picture in my gallery like one of wife n kids that I want to put as my wall paper then I get to the point where it tells me to crop the picture?/, but why??, the picture is perfect on the gallery screen and just how id like it to appear as my wallpaper???.
So I got this strange looking mutibox thingy that you can move a little and put in or out and it just will not set right, everytime whether the boxthingy is small or large it sets me picutre huge so that I can only see a small area of my set picture, ie its magnified way too much when really it didnt need to change at all, i just wanted it too set.
Sorry if this doesnt make sense, I may have to go into a vf shop as i cant find out how to save pictures from the web to my gallery either boo hoo.
These two problems may seem strange but are a real issue for me espaecially the saving web picture and could easily be a deal breaker.
Sorry for the rambling waffle.
Zaffy

Ive also noticed that if I try to wallpaper a picture (thought not right size yey) then it will only wallpaper pictures taken on the phone.
Anything text or emailed to my phone will not wallpaper as the wallpaper option is not in the menu??, I dont understand it.
Any ideas??.
cigar didnt work, i'm off to buy some more and get something nice for the kids tea whilst you have ur intellegent brainwaves lol.
Thankyou in anticipation.

You will need a File Manager App from Play Store. (ES File Explorer is quite good)
Once installed, you can move the pictures sent to you from the Downloads folder to the Pictures Folder.
The Menu should then be available to you.
Install a Photo App from Play Store, You can use the edit features to resize the image to fit your phones screen. 1280 x 720 I think it is...?

Thankyou for the tips, but I loaded picsay and es file explorer but everytime I try to resize a picture for a wall paper the damned green line boxes come up and it wont do it.
I dont see why it wont let me just save a full screen picture to wallpaper as it is on the screen.
My old blackberry used to let me do that.
Its a lovely phone but its sooooo complexed.
Like i have picsay and es explorer and they have so many files that i'll never need,
Think ive bitten off more than i can chew
in a nut shell i held the phone upright and took a picture of my wife and two girls from about 6foot away and the image fits the screen perfectly and looks fab but it just wont let me wallpaper it (or any other full screen images either??),
the green lined box keeps popping up and it will only wallpaper a small bit of that image??.
God damned it im smoking more already!!!

That explains it...
Take a picture with the phone held horizontally.
You will find it will resize properly.
The wallpaper is spread over 7 Home Screens.
If you take a picture in the virtical position. When you apply as wallpaper the phone will have to zoom into the picture to spread it across the 7 Home screens!
Hope that makes sense?

Hi Zaffy,
Wish i could offer some consolation mate, but i've just come across the same issue. Created three nice wallpapers, the screen resolution for this device is 1280x720, but once i try and set them, this ridiculous crop box comes up every time. Pointless.
Have to agree with you, my old phone is beckoning me back. So easy to use and just straighforward. Thought i was ready for a change but until these people get this sense overlay sorted out or just let the android developers put out the stock operating system, i can't see this as an improvement on other mobile OS's out there.
