Hi I am looking to order a HTC Sensation but before doing this, I would like to know how long the battery will last as a lot of apps will be used !  Can anyone let me know if they have one already or will be getting theirs tomorrow please as this will determine wether to order it or not!

Hi sayj, Quite a few of us are hoping to get our Sensations tomorrow. Some of us who pre-ordered them already have them having got them from a local Vodafone store. Check out this thread, (http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/HTC-Devices/Out-of-stock-email-on-HTC-Sensation-pre-order/td-p/735591... and you'll see who's got theirs already and, from tomorrow, who's got theirs then.

It might be worth going to that thread and asking people to post in this thread once they've got their Sensations and have charged them up and had a play with them.

If I get my Sensation tomorrow, I will let you know my opinions on the Sensation's battery life when I've had a bit of a play with it.

No problems. The thread is a bit angry about late despatches but if you look you will find who got their phones today. Keep an eye on it tomorrow for posts with the date of 20th May on them and hopefully those'll be people gushing about their phones.

Oh, and I can't wait to get my Sensation either.

lol I've read that thread all day today listening to people getting angry about not having their phones despatched on time! To be honest I don't blame them! I wouldn't like to wait 2-3 weeks for a phone that I can have today lol. I  will post on that thread now lol.

So far from what i can tell, the battery is going along pretty well, took about 3 hours to fully charge. I have used it pretty heavily while on battery for about 5 hours, in standby for about 6. I've been downloading and watching video for the last hour and a half and it just hit orange(apologies I don't knowwhat percentage that is). obviously I have been using it heavily as its new and that was only its first charge. I still can't see this beasty phone lasting two days haha although what good phone does last that long unless you barely use it at all.

Ok so first charge- extreme use, even while I was outmoded(it made me quite anti social) watching a fair bit of video, downloading apps. Data on all the time. My total time on battery was 12 hours 10 mins. I think that's pretty good, I was expecting the battery to drop a lot quicker.

 I think when it turns orange itwill be about 30-35%. If you want to know what percentage it is there is a battery widget that can be downloaded from htc hub if it is not already on the phone or you could just get one of the numerous ones from the market.

Thank you John your answers were very helpful I'm now getting worried with the other problems that people are experiencing ugh I really want this phone!
