Re: Can't access my messages since update??

I have the same issue, every time i try to enter it just says please wait.

As a temp measure I have added the messages widget to my desktop and this allows me to see the mesages and open them to people in the list.

C'mon then vodafone you have taken extra time to "test and improve" this update and as expected it's been bodged up filled with vodacrap shi*ware and obvoiusly not improved.

Re: Can't access my messages since update??

Hi Guys,

I’m pleased to say that I have updated the device that we have in the office this morning and I am now in the process of going through all your questions to help in any way I can.

I have taken a look at this for you and I don’t get the same issue.

Can I ask if you have performed a factory reset after you did the update?

If not I would try this first as not ding this can sometimes cause the update to not be applied correctly.

You can do a factory reset by pressing All Apps – Settings – Storage – Factory data reset.

Once done please let me know if you are still experiencing the same issue.

Re: Can't access my messages since update??

Also couldn't get access to my messages after the update. Just a Please Wait box that lasted for a while, before they finally appeared. But whenever i tried to access one of the message threads, the please wait appeared again, and no amount of waiting made it go away.

Discovered that after restarting, i could access message threads that only had a few messages in them. But when trying to access threads with more than 100 messages, it would not load.

2 other things that are weird in the messages:
the contact's picture icon would not appear in the message even though they had a picture linked with their profile.
and i could not seem to delete a thread. I would select delete thread, but it wouldn't go away. Weird.

Had to bite the bullet and do a factory reset, but it seems to be working now. oh well.

Re: Can't access my messages since update??

I had the same problem at first. So I waited...and waited...all in all for about twenty minutes.

And now it's fine. I'm guessing that on first run the message formats are updated or something? All I can suggest is patience, it likely depends on the numbers of messages you have stored.

HTC Sensation system update

Hello,

Was wondering if anyone can help me out, two days ago I recently did the systems update for my htc sensation and since then my messages have been opening really slowly. At first no messages would come up and the screen would only say loading, now the messages come up but I can not get into my conversations as it says it is loading. The only way I can see what someone has sent me is by reading the first couple of lines on my homepage and responding by composing a new message.

Does anyone know how to fix this or uninstall the new system update?

Re: HTC Sensation system update

How did you wait 25 minutes without the screen being locked? or does it work whilst the screen is locked?
