I've got a HTC Legend, I can send emails when on Wifi via 1&1 but I can't send them when on 3G. I know my settings are correct as it works over Wifi. I can receive on 3G or Wifi, is VF blocking 1&1 out goingon 3G ?

Many thanks for your query here.

When it comes to the outgoing mail server using 3G we don’t block any ports however there can sometimes be issues with the email server allowing the handset to use specific port numbers.

So that we can look into his for you, please can you confirm that you are using the following outgoing server settings;

Server: auth.smtp.1and1.co.uk

Port: 587

Server requires secure connection (SSL): ticked

Once we have these details we will be able to test this further for you.

I had :

Server : auth.smtp.oneandone.co.uk
Port : 25
Security type : None

Switching to SSL didn't work but TLS did, so thankyou.
