Exporting ALL contacts via Bluetooth

Hello!

I had an HTC Legend, and now upgraded to One S. Looking to export all my contacts (stored on the phone, unfortunately, not on Google). The manual only describes the export procedure for a single contact. Isn't there a way to export all contacts? It's just way too tedious (and untechnical) exporting them one by one.

In fact the same goes for exporting Calendar events - it's almost not worth it one by one!

Thanks for any wisdom on this.

Hey there

I am not sure how to do it via bluetooth - when you booted up the One S did it not offer an option to import your contacts as part of the setup process (I know this happened on older HTC devices)? If so, that is one of the quickest and easiest ways of getting your contacts to your new phone via bluetooth.

Another option for you, not using bluetooth, would be to export all the contacts on your own phone and import them on your new phone.  When in the People app on your Legend, press the menu key then select Import / Export then Export to SD Card.  Copy that file to your computer and then copy it to your One S.  When you are in the People app on your One S, press the menu key and then Manage Contacts.  Press Import/Export contacts then select Import from Phone Storage.

That should get all your contacts across.

The easiest way would be to back up your contacts to Gmail and then they will automatically sync to your new device.   It also means that if you make any changes to your contacts in Gmail, your phone will be updated and visa versa.

I am pleased that I was able to solve your problem - out of curiosity - which option worked for you?
