Peasy

Download the file, rename it to update.zip and copy it onto your SD card.

Power off the phone, hold the vol down key and turn it on. Welcome to fastboot.

Use the vol down key to to highlight Recovery, and power button to select it.

After a minute you'll be at a screen with an Android and a warning triangle. Hold the power button and press vol up. Now use the trackball to pick install update from SD card (or similar).

actually it's google pushing out the software, it comes from their servers. but i'm sure anyone can wait a few more hours to get the update when just hours ago the eta was announced to be end of next week

i have been trying to manually apply the update as it says on top on the page with the link. trouble is i keep getting 'signature verification failed' as the error and i cant seem to go from there. any ideas?

do you currently have EPF21 or EFP30 installed?

i have epf21b installed cant seem to get anywhere with it. tried another method using dos to flash the rom etc and the bootloader would freeze so im stuck now with getting the signature verification failed error.

yea downloaded that one this morning cant seem to get it to work. i have a card reader and was using that to do it, but it wouldnt work. so i renamed the file and loaded it with the card inside the phone then i got the signature error.

I have the same version numbers as yourself having unlocked the bootloader and updated to Froyo a while back, however your correct in that the baseband version number is also different. Robin Walker posted earlier that he has 32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04 rather than 32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.12_7.

Discussion about the numbers 5.08 and 4.06 I have seen elsewhere in this forum and seem to be radio versions. Rusty posted a few times in the link below:

Try naming the file just update without the .zip I had the same problem when I right clicked on the file and looked at the properties on my pc the file was being read as update.zip.zip. After removing the .zip from the file name the update worked fine.
