HTC Explorer unable to send or receive pictures

Hi,

Having been sent a picture message and receiving a text message directing me to getmyphoto I've followed the instructions to set up my phone with the correct APN settings. I've tested this out by trying to send a picture to myself but get an error message saying after multiple attempts service denied.

I'm on pay as you go with a freedom pack.

Any help much appreciated

Re: HTC Explorer unable to send or receive pictures

Hi

First up you're unable to send settings to your phone (help here) then it suggests it might be the SIM itself rather than the handset which isn't set up.

A SIM would need to be provisioned for MMS (picture messages) and Internet services for it to be able to send a multimedia file, even if the device settings themselves are correct. This is something that customer services can do for you with a quick call to 191.

Re: HTC Explorer unable to send or receive pictures

Hi mdlr05

Thanks for your post. Firstly I'd try resending the settings to your phone via the link in redpages post above. If this doesn't work then the next option would be a SIM swap. This can be arranged in store or we can arrange this for you.

If you'd like us to send a replacement SIM card then contact us directly via the details provided in the private message I've sent across. You can find your PM inbox here. If you can't access this link, please ensure that the box next to "Turn on private messages" is ticked on this page, and let us know if you need any further assistance.

Thanks

Simon
