Hi there,
My Vodafone HTC HD2 has been working quite well since updating to the latest ROM in February. It's been a bit glitchy, freezing every now and then. But basically it works and has given me no problems since Feb. However, yesterday I added the weather app back on to the Home Screen Tabs. The display showed that HTC Sense was restarting. Next thing I know, I have no emails and no SMS messages on my phone. My Exchange email account has gone, and my two IMAP accounts. My other Exchange data (calendar, tasks, contacts) are still there.
Obviously I can just set up the email accounts again, but I'm not happy that I've lost all my text messages, and it's pretty inconvenient that this has happened. Any ideas or advice? Thanks.
Daniel

Hi DCooling,
I'm afraid it sounds like the memory on the phone became corrupted and wiped itself to recover - unfortunately there is no way to recover the last data if it has not been backed up anywhere
The good news is that things like this are a very rare occurence, and so you should not expect this to happen again. Having said that, if the phone does things like this frequently, it may be indicitive of an overall fault with the handset, and it should be sent in to us for repair.
