HTC HD2 - Am I Being Charged For A Data Connection?

The data connection keeps turning on automatically, which is ok I suppose, but am I getting charged for when it is one?

you will only be charged if you actually download anything.

Would the data connection be because you are synchronising with your business email?

If you are on a contract then you should have at least a 500Mb data bundle free with your package, meaning you wont get charged at all.

Hi TheArchetect

mr nice and Starfury are correct in what they have said, thanks guys ;)

How long as the phone been doing this for? if you back everything up and then resetting the phone to factory settings would be a good recommendation.

Here is a link to the HTC HD2 frequently asked questions.

If you have any other questions please let us know :D

the design of the HD2 is to be an "always on/always connected" handset...mine is constantly connected to data, i have had 128hr+ sessions.

HTC HD2 - Am I Being Charged For A Data Connection?

Hi TheArchetect,

Any downloads will come out of a Mobile Internet bundle if you have one included with your account. If you don't then you'll be charged 50p a day for a maximum of 25MB of useage.

I trust that answers your query :).

Sure Signal uses your own broadband line so charges may apply from your ISP if you have a limited package.
However so long as the phone is using the Sure Signal and not Vodafone's network then you shouldn't incur charges as you aren't using Vodafone's network, you are using your own broadband connection effectively.
Maybe someone from Vodafone would like to clear this up?
