Hey y'all, yet another problem with this damn HD2 grrr.
Right, this time, the date and time does not update automatically. At first the weather did not update auto, but after a few hours it did. Basically, the fact date and time does not update automatically means that I cannot login to messenger or use marketplace, which is KINDA annoying. If anyone could help, would be appreciated a lot.

Hi Faz20,
The date and time should not be preventing you from logging in to Messenger or from accessing the Marketplace, so I think there's something larger at play here.
Have you tried turning the handset off and on again to reset it?
Also, are you able to access and browse the internet using the browser, or other third-party applications?

I believe the network have to offer date/time syncronisation and I am not sure that Vodafone does as mine doesn't auto-update until I connect it to my PC using Activesync (it then syncs the date/time with the PC's clock)
But as Jon said it "shouldn't" be stopping you using your phone as normal. Try the Activesync method or set it manually.

Just found out it may be an undocumented feature of the SenseUI (ie a bug in HTC'd software) that means timezone and date/time auto configuration may not work.

I think it is. However, after seeking help at xda, they told me to run a random sync to my computer. So I just sync'd "My Files" or something of the sort. I then noticed the time and date magically re-adjusted and I can now log in to messenger, marketplace and my SMS conversations are in the right order
