HTC HD2 - ROM Upgrade Notification

I have been reliably informed by some of the guys at XDA-Developers that if you install this HTC hotfix it will revert your messaging client back to one that doesn't have this "undocumented feature"

http://www.htc.com/u...cat=0&dl_id=812

Didn't work. I get the following whilst trying to install on my phone:

"Incorrect Device - This hotfix is not compatible with your device"

I even tried running from my PC as you do with rom installs, but the computer doesn't recognise it as "a valid Win32 application".

I never had so much grief from such a phone before in my life.... But I still rate it as the best out of all the phones I ever owned.

Hi Guys,

EddyOS is right, Starfury. pre 1.66 only.

That said, you've lost me as you call it a hotfix in one post, then say it isn't in the next.

gossipgirl - As Ben mentioned before, can you confirm the version of the firmware you're using so we can feed this back?

I imagine in cooked ROMs - you can cook them in as CABs...

I could of sworn I read a thread somewhere where someone said to do it to fix the "SMS notification cant be switched off" bug... and I think it was a 4 digit poster too (someone with over 1000 posts)

Ah well

Did anyone try using "Advanced Config" to turn this off, that works on the TP2

Re: HTC HD2 - ROM Upgrade Notification

Hello, new to this forum lark, I had to hard reset my phone over the weekend as I could not get into it!! the eror message was telling me I entered the wrong password!? it appeared unlocked but would not unlock - another common feature with this phone :smileywink:

Everything seems to work ok, i've noticed some slight changes, two really annoying bugs/changes....

Text Notifiction - I've been reading the previous post about this being a bug, it's so annoying - pretty bad it's not been fixed! Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Large bold text when in Opera and Internet explorer, using both BBC mobile view and facebook mobile for example - the text before was nice and small, and you coud fit a lot onto the one page.....I've checked my text sizes on the phone and on Opera and exploeror, they are all set to small.

Any Ideas they are both annoying issues for me,

Thanks,

ROM 3.14.161.3 down loaded from HTC's website

Thanks

Suz
