HTC Hero problems

Morning all.

My wife got this phone back in June 2010 from mobiles.co.uk, which I understand is part of Carphone Warehouse. All was fine for about a month, then it started freezing, resetting itself and shutting her out from programs. We took it to Carphone Warehouse, but were unable to get a courtesy phone, so had to buy one. The phone was away for about 1 month, and when returned, it seemed to perform a lot better.

However, since December 2010, the phone has been up to it's old tricks again. It has has THREE hard resets in the past month, but to no avail. Understandably, she is getting annoyed with it now, and doesn't want to put up with it until the contract is up for renewal.

Is there anything that Vodafone can do? We don't particularly want to take it back to Carphone Warehouse, as we don't feel that their service was any good, especially as we had to buy a courtesy phone. Doesn't the word 'courtesy' suggest that the phone would be given free?

I'm after any advice that forum members or Vodafone staff can offer, to help us out with this frustrating problem.

Ta in advance

Re: HTC Hero problems

Hi again. I see that several of the Vodafone members have visited the site today. Are they either unable and/or choosing not to offer me any advice?

I'm not trying to be funny, but would've thought someone could have helped.

Re: HTC Hero problems

Morning again. Is there really NO Vodafone worker on here able to offer me any advice, be it good or bad? I find that a bit hard to believe.

Yes, I realise that for some ths may all come across as rude, but I'm after some help. Vodafone obviously have had some dealings with the Hero, else I wouldn't have been able to get it on this network?

At what point in the contract does the onus shift from Carphone Warehouse onto Vodafone, with regards to customer service and care?

Vodafone staff have been on this forum yet again, and may even have glanced at these posts. But for what ever reason, they have decided to pass comment.

All I'm asking for is for one of the staff members to have the common decency, and let me know whether or not they can do anything to help. Is that really too much to ask? At this moment in time, it appears so :c

Re: HTC Hero problems

Morning again.

It's nice when you the only one to comment on your own thread.

I've sent an email to Vodafone via the 'contact us' section. Let's see if they are able to help me more than your staff in here are able/willing to do.

Your company isn't really endearing itself to me at the moment. Please try and sort it out.

Thanks

Re: HTC Hero problems

Hi mrkester

Thanks for your post here. I’m sorry to hear of your wifes problems with her phone. I appreciate how frustrating this situation must be for both you and her.

I’m going to send you an email over to the email address that you registered with so that we can take a look at your options. All you need to do is hit reply and fill in all of the information it asks for and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

P.S. This forum is a ‘community’ based forum and as such all posts are left for at least 24 hours so that support can be given by our community. If after this period, nobody has responded or is unable to help, we as moderators will then give assistance. We work on a first come first serve basis so whilst we will try to respond as close to that 24hr period as we can, it isn’t always possible.

Please let me know if you have any more questions and we’ll be happy to help you further.

Cheers

Wayne
