hi im a newbie here i bought a unlocked new htc legend for the life of me i cannot get mms to either send or recieve ive had the vodafone email with APN settings no joy ive phoned up vodafone spent 30 minutes going through all the settings still no joy cant send or recieve them all i get when i try and send a picture is unable to send message retrying i have reset the phone i have done everything im very clued up when it comes to phones etc but this is driving me crackers i see other posts saying they get the email and then all is fine but i spoke to the tecnician team at vodafone and they just said we dont know ? please someone help

You don't need to worry, so we can get this up and running as quick as possible, can you please check the following settings in your phone, if these are correct then it may be an issue with your account so let us know if you still have issues after this and we will see what we can do.
1.Press the MENU key
2.Touch Settings
3.Touch Wireless & networks
4.Scroll to and touch Mobile networks
5.Touch Access Point Names
6.Press the MENU key
7.Touch New APN
8.Touch Name
9.Enter Vodafone WAP, touch OK
10.Touch APN
11. Enter:
For Pay monthly customers: wap.vodafone.co.uk
For Pay as you go customers: pp.vodafone.co.uk
12.Touch OK
13.Touch Proxy
14. Enter 212.183.137.012, touch OK
15.Touch Port
16. Enter 8799, touch OK
17.Touch Username
18. Enter wap, touch OK
19.Touch Password
20. Enter wap, touch OK
21. Press the MENU key
22.Touch Save
23. Touch the circle to the right of the Vodafone WAP profile name you have just created
24. Press the Home key to return to the home screen
25. Press the MENU key
26.Touch All programs
27.Touch Internet
28. Press the MENU key
29.Touch More
30. Scroll to and touch Settings
31.Touch Set home page
32.Touch Set home page
33. Enter http://live.vodafone.com, touch OK.
Then

in reply to this i have tried all these settings still no joy i then went to a vodafone shop who gave me a new sim card re entered all my settings as you kindly put but they had no joy neither my sim is a contract sim no probs with my account the shop said they think its because the phone was bought sim free ??? i have tried 02 sim and virgin and also orange all worked fine with the legend sending mms only vodafone i have problem with please help only thing i can think of is i originally had monthly sim contract i bought a pay as you go sim of ebay and had the number changed to my monthly contract but shop said no its not that please help someone
