Hi all,

I bought my HTC magic 1 month ago and still did not receive the latest android update.

Already wrote to HTC but they have redirected to Vodafone.

Wrote to Vodafone 3 weeks ago but no answer since.

Could someone let me know what else I have to do go get the update?

Can you tell me what baseband version you are running?

Where did you buy the phone from?

What happens if you go into the Settings and then software updates and click check for updates?

My baseband version is: 62.50S.20.17U_2.22.19.26I

I bought the phone from a seller in amazon,it was unwanted upgrade.

When I go to settings and click on updates (I see two updates available), the first update start to download but when finish nothing happens, although there was message-after download your phone will reboot and install the second update.The phone doesnt reboot and basically nothing happens.

I have restarted it manually and still nothing.

Thanks for coming back to me on this.

The only way that you are going to get the update if its not working via the phone would be to send the phone away for repair. It should still be under warranty so have a read over this thread that outlines how you get the phone sent away for an update.

Hi Neothematrix,

As a Vodafone Repair is only open to Vodafone customers you will need a Vodafone UK number to arrange the repair (providing it is still under warranty) this is not an issue as you can get a free payt SIM card on our online store.

What network are you on?

Have you thought about joining vodafone?
