HTC One M8

Since upgrading Android a week ago, the error message "Unfortunately Google Play services has stopped" appears every 3 seconds.  How can I get rid of it?  I have tried many things but nothing seems to work.   Any ideas?   I am surprised Android/Google haven't issued a new release to correct this.

@sukesbad - Try clearing the application cache, this usually stops the notification from popping up.

I got that and clearing all the data on the app stopped it.  Go into the main Settings menu, then Apps, open Google Play Services and hit the Clear Data button (if you didn't know that already).

I also had one other app that crashed and the same thing (in its data) fixed that too.
