Re: HTC Sensation S-OFF achieved by Alpha Rev

I'm waiting on HTC personally, don't like having the pink banner in the HBOOT!!! :smileyvery-happy:

Shame they're being a bit arsey about it, though

I'd stay away from official HTC unlock, who knows what warranty implications it can bring.

Re: HTC Sensation S-OFF achieved by Alpha Rev

I think AlphaRev will affect warranty more than the official one! End of the day, the phone does what I want it to do now. The only thing I want to do is use my own ROM with apps I don't use removed - not just disabled

Both will invalidate warranty so it's a non-issue

Also, AlphaRev haven't beaten HTC to it - HTC have already sent phones out S-OFF (review models/some lucky souls getting them on release) so they've had it from the start. PLUS AlphaRev haven't released anything publically yet so, again, haven't beaten HTC to anything

I know that AlphaRev will invalidate the warranty but we should be able to put it back without trace don't you think.

Re: HTC Sensation S-OFF achieved by Alpha Rev

I agree but as I said previously - I refuse to have that stupid pink banner!! Seeing as the video shows S-OFF without it I hope they do remove it. If so, then yes I'll use AlphaRev

How many times will you look at it! I cant wait to get all the crap off of mine. At least Titanium is keeping them frozen even after losing root from rebooting and to be honest the stock rom is pretty good.

Re: HTC Sensation S-OFF achieved by Alpha Rev

Could someone walk me through what apps are safe to freeze? I mean Voda apps won't cause any problems, but what about likes of HTC Sense dashboard which keeps running in bg?

Just scroll through the app's with Titanium backup and have a look at which you don't think you will use. I've frozen all sense because I'm using Go Launcher atm. If you use sense don't freeze anything that say's sense or Rosie. I've froze all Voda app's, Friend stream, Twitter, Peep, Facebook, Stocks, Laputa widget (Navigation), Htc Hub (load of crap), Htc like's, My shelf and eReader, News, Show me, Sim toolkit, Tell Htc, Trends.

A lot of what I've frozen won't make any difference to be honest. Also even when you reboot and lose root they will stay frozen so you will need root to unfreeze, unless uninstalling Titanium backup would unfreeze them but I'm not sure of that as I've never done it.
