Its finally announced! Here it is.... The HTC EVO 4G All i can say is Oh My God.... Pure and utter gobsmacking specs, Snapdragon Processor, 4G Technology (not available here just yet) Gorgeous looking, HUGE 4.2" screen, 2 Cameras, (front: 1.3MP & Back 8 megapixel with a flash), Capable of 720p Video, HDMI output, Android 2.1 with Sence UI and i quote "The hardware is of quite obvious HD2 descent, but with Android onboard and some nice aesthetic tweaks, the EVO 4G takes on a life of its own."

i cant see that actual Sprint handset being GSM compatable but there ovbiously will be a GSM edition in the works.....i hope
Doubtful... the main point of the device is the 4G/WiMax capabilities and there is no real network for that over here.
The next big thing for Europe will likely be LTE which will require a special handset.

Hi Ben_Smurfy
Welcome to the Eforum
!
I've seen a lot of news regarding the EVO 4H in the US but not much for the UK
There is no news regarding the EVO 4G on Vodafone UK at this moment in time, but keep
your eyes peeled ![]()
I would recommend checking out our Coming Soon section.
Thanks

Thanks very much - is there any other HTC phone currently available with Vodafone that matches IPhone 4 capability? I am due for an upgrade at the end of the month and whilst I am heading towards IPhone 4 I wondered if there are other handsets worth considering?
Cheers
Ben

I would say any of the desire models would be good enough. check out the website link below it rates the original HTC Desire as the number one phone beating the iphone 4

Hi Ben_Smurfy,
Ben007 has made a good suggestion there, but the key question is what exactly do you want the phone for?
You say that want something which matches the iPhone 4's capability but do you mean in a general area such as resolution, video calls, apps, battery life...there are a lot of ways you can measure that.
The Desire series are great handsets, certainly, but you can check out the full range in the Vodafone online store. Any questions, let us know!
