Hi, I am having the same problem. My phone has just been in for repair for the memory issue and supposedly for this but it still wont sync. I am reluctant to go into store as the staff in my local store are rude and unhelpful, I am also reluctant to return it again as it means all my data will be lost again, as I am unable to back it up without being able to sync, also because my insurance is not with Vodafone, they are refusing to provide a courtesy phone if it did go in for repair, they say that my monthly payment is just for the service (my own insurance doesn't cover as the problem is a manufacturing fault). It seems like customer service means nothing to Vodafone.

Hi lulabelle,
When it comes to a repair we can’t offer a loan phone unless you have insurance with us as it is this that we use if the handset is broken whilst in your care.
Unfortunately even a repair through the manufacturer won’t entitle you to a courtesy phone as the warranty does not cover the cost of doing this.
In regards to the memory issue and using HTC sync, please can you let us know what version of HTC Sync you are using and also what software you are currently using on your phone?
James
