Hi LiamBainesNew

@hrym has drawn my attention to your enquiry.

I'm actually away from home at present, so haven't got all my information to hand, but I'm pretty sure that PAYG phone accounts don't support hotspots. Ah, just found http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/iPhone-5-5s-and-5c/Personal-hotspot-setup-on-iPhone/m-p/2110253 which supports that.

The standard costs for PAYG are set out on http://www.vodafone.co.uk/shop/pay-as-you-go/call-charges/index.htm from which you'll see that the current charge for mobile data is £2 per day for 50MB, then 10p per MB. If you plan to use mobile data more regularly, you might want to opt in to one of the Freebees - see http://www.vodafone.co.uk/shop/pay-as-you-go/Vodafone-Freebees/index.htm

That rather depends on what it is you're topping up - are we talking about a normal phone tarriff or a data-only one?   Data used when a device is set as a hotspot normally comes out of whatever allowance it has.

I'm just topping up £5, no bundles or what ever, I usually spend the money on texting not mobile data. Without a hotspot isnt it £1 a day for mobile data? Will it be the same with a hotspot
