I have recently taken out a contract and was persuaded to take a Wildfire S. My first issue is that it has very poor signal compared with my work Blackberry which is also on Vodafone. I cannot use the Wildfire in the house or in many other buildings. Even outdoors I often find I have no signal on the Wildfire when I have a decent signal on the Blackberry. Frankly, at the moment I feel it is not fir for purpose but is this normal or could I have a faulty phone?
My second problem is that, recently, I have found myself unable to get any mobile data. I've only used a very small amount of my allowance but, when wireless is not available, I am unable to update any of the internet applications; most throw up an error message suggesting I switch mobile data on which it already is. I made no changes that would explain this.
Both issues mean that the phone is often of no use whatsoever.

To rule out any network issues, can you please try the steps in our Network Troubleshooting thread.
