HTC Wildfire - Still no Fxcing Signal

I am now beginning to reach the end of my tether with this phone now. I got the Wildfire on Tuesday and I had no signal. I ended up speaking to an online representative and they said it would take "24 hours for the sim to register".

Fair enough, over 24 hours later - still nothing. So I did the same again and the same promise was made..... Still nothing.

Did it again last night and they "assured" me that the sim would be registered in the next 24 hours. The 24 hours are closing in and I still have nothing.

Why is that that no one else I know had to wait for the sim to register before they got signal?

Why should I be paying £30 a month for a phone that I cant even use?

Any help here would be greatly appreciated, thinking of just cancelling the contract and going somewhere else if I'm honest.

Broken promises from Vodafone? Join the que. The only functional department seems to be the billing department.

A moderator will be here within a week to tell you to send the phone in.

My advice. Run while you can.

Hi Grocko,

Firstly, a very warm welcome to the eForum Family, it's always great to see new faces on here :smileyhappy:.

It's possible that your SIM card hasn't been activated on the network yet, either that or it's simply faulty. The first thing I'd recommend you do is pick up a replacement SIM free of charge from your Nearest Vodafone Store. If that doesn't make a difference then we'll need to check your account has been setup correctly. Just reply to the email I've sent you and we'll be in touch as soon as we can.

In regards to the symbol you're seeing. Does it look like a fan with 3 circular lines and a small circle at the bottom? If so, then it means that Wi-Fi is on and there's wireless networks available.
