HTC and ICS

Hi My Sensation ued to be a wicked phone. Since ICS update it has been nothing but trouble. Spontaneous reboot, at least once a day. It keeps restting everything including the email to check every 15 minutes. Battery is being eaten alive. It wants to share everything. It keeps dropping the phone connection. It wants to install new downloads at the rate of 3 minimum a day. It is slow sluggish and the screens are sticky, because it is always doing stuff in the background. To disable this is very very hard to find as the backgrounddata disable button has vanished. I am not in charge on my phone any more :-( Google is, and this is a massive backward step.

Prior to this, over a year, it has never crashed once and has always done as its told! ICS does not work properly on this phone. It used to be so slick. I really don't need 6+ notifications an hour none of which matter to anyone.

I have tried to reset MY SETTINGS, but it just gets changed back again. What a shame.

Re: HTC and ICS

Re read that and it sounds a bit of a rant! Just want to say I know it's not Vodafone, it's Google, their plan for world domination and HTC. I've been with Vodafone for years, and will be for years to come. Never had any issues with you guys, always good service.

Tried the Alex trick with the quick boot. Too early to tell but it just dropped the connection again and tells me emergency calls only. Somone needs to remind Google that it's primarily a telephone, needs to work, last more than a day and a flash/ facebook/ games console etc player secondary!

Hi black5f

Thank you for your posts and we understand this is not a rant but instead a detailed description of the issues you are having.:smileywink:

This sounds like a similar query albeit to a different device which one of our Community Experts has provided suggestions, please can you try these and let me know how you get on.

We have a guide on our Help Centre that will also help you to stop applications running in the background.

Many Thanks

Re: HTC and ICS

Have you done a factory reset after the update. A few people have said it has resolved some problems for them.
