HTC wilddire s facebook issue

I'm having problems with uploading photo's to facebook. Photo's will not upload through HTC sense or through the facebook option, it says there's an error but doesn't say what the error is. I have even tried turning on wifi but this doesn't help.
Anyone have any suggestions to solving this issue? I used to find vodafone customer service good but recently they have been very unhelpful with queries regarding my HTC wildfire s, even though I'm a loyal customer and bought this phone from one of their stores! It is annoying having a smart phone I cannot use all the features of, I know other people with the same phone but different network and they don't have any issues!

Hi ahillary,
I must admit that this is a bit of a strange one.
Can I ask what version of HTC Sense and Facebook application you are using?
Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the Facebook App?
Also can you let me know what software you are running by pressing settings- about – software information – software number.
If this isn’t the latest (2.14.161.1) then we will need to update the software on the phone
Give this a go and let me know how you get on.

Similar issues with my Wildfire.
The phone is no longer a smartphone, it's so slow and unresponsive, despite a factory reset etc. The battery life is now really pathetic too.
The phone is 18 months old and is now in my opinion not fit for purpose. I don't mind being tied into a two year contract, what i would like though is a phone that can be used for that two year period without reaching the end of it's life

Hi gubble,
The phone should last the length of the contract however from time to time with any phone a fault can occur that could prevent this which is why the warranty period is offered.
If you are experiencing issues with your pone that a factory reset hasn’t cured then I would recommend sending the phone away for a free of charge warranty repair.
Give this a go and let us know how you get on.

Hi James,
I am using Android version 2.3.5, HTC sesnse version 2.1, Software number 2.14.161.1
Facebook version 1.8.2
It still won't let me upload pics, says theres an error but doesnt say what the error is. I used vodafone live chat help last week and they suggested I change my sim card but I have been to my local vodafone shop twice now and they havent had any sim cards in so I do not know if this might be the solution.

Hi ahillary,
To be honest it wouldn’t be your SIM that is stopping you from uploading pictures to Facebook because as long as there is an internet connection then we know that the SIM I working as it should.
It sounds like either a handset or Application issue that is causing this rather than anything else.
If you remove the application and then perform a hard reset by removing the battery with the phone switched on, leave for 30 seconds and switch the phone back on, once done please reinstall the application.
If this continues I would recommend completing the feedback with this application to Facebook who will need to look at this for you.

Hi,
It doesnt let me uninstall facebook, I can only uninstall updates to facebook. Thats my only option.
I have updated my sim card and this hasnt helped the problem. Also I cannot send MMS, I have followed the online instructions for setting up APN and that doesnt solve it. I have ran out of options with this problem!

Hi ahillary,
The issue with sending MMS may be do with the setup on your actual Vodafone account which we would need to enable.
In regards to the Facebook issue, I have tested this on the device in the office with no issues at all.
Due to this I would recommend looking at sending the phone away for a free of charge repair.
