Done a manual check yesterday on my Sensation XL and was able to download my update.

Installed without any problems and has made a good difference to my phone

Is there any chance of Vodafone posting here when they receive the ICS ROM for the HTC Desire S so we at least know it's with them. Surely not too much to ask?

Hi Caspermillenium,

I'm afraid my team don't get information on firmware updates until they're either available or unless they are withdrawn for any reason. Any updates we do have will be communicated in the relevant sections on the eForum so keep visiting for details. Tom and Jay are usually the mods who will post about such news.

Remember, if you're unable or forget to check back then you'll still get an alert on your phone in the notification bar on the HTC Desire S if and when a release is made available.
