Received my magic today, (and I got it on a 12 month contract) :D

the ac adaptor does not fit the 1 socket on the phone to charge it.

So I can only charge it via the suppled USB cable from my laptop.

Anybody else found this the same with there magic ?

There is a small hole in the top of the adapter part that fits into the socket - this goes hold the phone with the screen facing up and this part of the adapter facing towards you.

Interestingly my adaptor and data cable ends are different too...

This is the data cable end, kind of square with a one curved corner...

And this is the AC adapter, standard mini-style USB end that you get on most pocket hard drives for example...

Both work fine however.

I found that any standard USB cable will charge it

I am currently using an old USB car charger from the Moto Razor to charge my G1 in the car

The top picture is an Ext USB connector developed by HTC to allow additional connections for headset.
