Hello,

I recently upgraded my phone to an HTC Radar, and while I love the phone I am unable to send MMS messages and initially I was having some mobile internet issues due to the APN. The person at our local vodafone store said to call vodafone and have them email me the information, which I did call and request but never received the email. I checked my spam folders and everything but for some reason I am not receiving the email containing the APN and SMS information I need. I called back several hours later and they resent the email but still no vodafone information.

I was able to find some information searching through Vodafone's website on how to set up the APN, so now my mobile internet should be good to go, but how can I enable it to send MMS? I was able to send MMS on my old phone so it shouldn't be an account issue. I tried using the HTC Desire's information online as per the customer service technician's suggestion on the phone, but I have no option to create a new APN on my phone, I just have the one APN I can edit, so the information wasn't really useful.

My current APN settings are as follows:

APN: Internet

Username: Web

Password: Web

Proxy Server/URL: (Blank)

Proxy Port: (Blank)

The APN settings you have in the phone are spot on so that shouldn't be causing an issue.

I have seen instances when upgrading the MMS provisioning is not carried over. So that we can check this I have just sent you an email. If you can reply back to that we can confirm this with you.

I thought it was odd, too, and I've called the vodafone customer service line multiple times. They are thinking it might be a problem with the handset because the internet goes out too when it shouldn't.

I have replied to your email with my details. If you have any other suggestions that might work so I don't have to switch phone I would be extremely grateful.

i also have the htc radar and have the same problem i called vodafone and was on the phone to them for nearly an hour trying to sort it out! In the end they couldn't fix the problem saying that the handset is too new! And they don't have the settings for the mms messages. they told me to go to a vodafone store for them to sort but by the looks of what i have read they will tell me to to ring vodafone!  will this problem be sorted soon?  im not paying my monthly bills to have an up to date phone which can do everything except an old function as a mms message.

Can you confirm that the settings shown above are the same on your phone?

The settings are generic and use the same APN regardless of what phone you have.

I had my phone for a year and this was never sorted out. I have a new iphone now and I'm still having the same issue. So frustrating.
