My sensation has never worked for MMS and Voda can't fix it..

I have been with Vodafone for three months and have a Sensation which, generally, I am very happy with... with one exception... MMS

Or to be precise, the lack of it.

I have gone through the setup with Cust service several times and was assured that all settings in the system were OK and I needed a new Sim.. that arrived and still no MMS working.

I was asked to go into a Vodafone shop, which I just did, and my SIM was tested in a different phone.

Guess what? yes it worked.

My options now are to surrender my Sensation for repair..even though it has never worked and be without a phone for up to two weeks or more!

Not happy! my reasoning is that, after researching this, it seems a very common problem on the android software affecting other models as well as the Sensation.

I am surprised tha Vodafone are willing to keep attempting to repair these phones when it's more than likely they won't succeed

So I will just have to suffer it ..  maybe I should have stuck with the iPhone?......

Is this handset running off the Vodafone firmware? I'll try sending an MMS later on with my unbranded model and see how it goes

Right, just sent myself a picture of my pen and I received it without issue - this is using the default APN that comes with the unbranded ROM

Re: My sensation has never worked for MMS and Voda can't fix it..

So do you think I should be trying that APN.. I assume proxy and port etc will be the same.. I am using the following

APN: wap.vodafone.co.uk

proxy: 212.183.137.012

port: 8799

username : wap

PW :wap

MMSC: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms

mms proxy : 212.183.137.012

port: 8799

by default these following settings are..

MMS protocol: WAP 2.0

MCC: 234

MNC: 15

Authentication type - not set

APN type : mms

regards
