Re: No signal on HTC sensation

I can put my GF's Tmobile sim card in my Sensation and it will get FULL signal and 3G .... I can put my spare PAYG o2 / Tesco Mobile sim and both of them get full signal and 3G..

What the hell vodafone ?? Does your signal run on a different frequency or something ?? The HTC Sensation WILL NOT work with vodafone.

What am i supposed to do with this ? Pay £50 to get a box or do without a phone but carry on paying for another year and half ?

I have tried a gazzilion different Radio & RIL's none of them will improve this signal at all !!!

Re: No signal on HTC sensation

Hi azzledazzle

Thanks for your post. We'll be happy to take a look at the options for you. Are you experieincing the signal issue with your device just at your home address or everywhere with your phone? If so a Sure Signal may not necessarily be the solution.

I've sent across a PM with details of how to contact us directly. You can find your PM inbox here. If you can't access this link, please ensure that the box next to "Turn on private messages" is ticked on this page, and let us know if you need any further assistance.

Thanks

Simon

Re: No signal on HTC sensation

Hi, Have not received the PM yet, but i know how to contact you, I tried yesterday but there was no budging from the £50 price tag.

The signal affects me most inside the house, The moment i step outside i get almost full bars and missed calls and texts come rushing through.

I dont know what to do, I know this Sensation has the signal issues due to a design with the antenna being on the back casing, But this is only affecting vodafone, Like i said in my other post any other simcard works flawlessly.

Over the next 16 months (till my contract ends) I would have paid £500- £560... Which is a lot of money considering i can barely use the phone. I have tried all sorts such as switching to 2g networks, Changing the phones Radio image but the problem still exists.

My MOBILE phone doesnt seem.........well mobile to be honest.

Re: No signal on HTC sensation

Have had the Sensation since mid January and have had the exact same problems as listed on here of no signal and no network, even when the phone does have signal (full or not) if its not on GSM or H the phone still dosen't work. This started with the mobile internet and after many useless calls to VF about it all they did was go round in circles with settings that they said were wrong (even though they had supplied them). Their final solution was that a month old phone required a 'repair', I honestly think that VF know full well that there is a fault with the Sensation on their network but are still happy to supply it and prat you about once you have signed up. Have over 20 months left on my contract and just want to leave VF and go elsewhere. Absolute Joke. Seems I'm paying £31 a month for a phone that is useless as a phone but brilliant as a handheld computer.

Re: No signal on HTC sensation

Couldn't agree more. Used to like Vodafone would recommend them to anyone. But I feel like it's all about profit now and to hell with the customers. Not a good thing to do Vodafone sort it out. The problem lies with the network not the handset

Re: No signal on HTC sensation

well i guess this forum aint never gonna get anything sorted theyve asked for info from us to pass onto there support team and still after so long not once has there been any response, does the support team actually exsist.

i guess there holding out for ics then when that doesnt fix the apaulling signal issues theyll start again, can you tell us what software version you are on and when we have 10 ppl with the same complaint we will pass it on to support then theyll take so long our phones will eventually be out of warranty.

I personally have 5 lines with voda for myself and my family and i can assure you that once my contracts are up i will take tham all to t-mobile.

Re: No signal on HTC sensation

[ Edited ]

Hi, What has been done to sort this issue with a signal?  I have a problem everywhere I go not just at my home?

I really don't see why you are telling us to by sure signal?  That would just be for one location, a mobilephone helps you be 'mobile' in more than one location? I can hardly get a signal! On the coverage checker my postcode is supposed to have good coverage in doors! I am getting so annoyed because I am paying for a service that I can't use! I have put up and put up with it but I can not take it anymore Please can somebody fix it.

Phone mobile number

HTC Sensation Z710e

Andrid version 2.3.4

HTC sense version 3.0

Re: No signal on HTC sensation

Hi all,

As was mentioned before, we need a number of cases with confirmed software version numbers to get this escalated.  This is in order to rule in or out software version as a likely culprit, to help show this isn't a number of unconnected cases, to help ensure that any software changes which may address issues from the manufacturer have been installed and to make sure the tests we run are on the correct version.

If you can post your software versions for us then we will be happy to get this investigated further as soon as we have enough of a "sample group".

Re: No signal on HTC sensation

I have exactly the same problem - loosing signals from time to time inside my house and office (even after swithing to GSM only). I think this problem only started about a few weeks ago... It was fine before.. I have the latest softerware on my HTC sensation.
