On 3rd HTC Wildfire S

I upgraded from a 30 day sim with a Samsung Tocco Lite phone 2 weeks ago, I never ahd any problems with the signal or anything with this phone.

The new contract is an HTC Wildfire S, today I had to return the 2nd one & get a third one.  I've had problems with all of these, I constantly get cut off & it's very annoying.  Now after the third phone doing this, I know it can't be the actual phone, so, any ideas?

Re: On 3rd HTC Wildfire S

Hi Karen267

Thanks for your post here. I’m sorry to hear that you are having problems with your new handset. I appreciate how frustrating this must be for you.

There are differences from handset to handset in how they pick up and receive signal. However, can you tell me what your full postcode is and we’ll check the signal in your area to see if there are any problems that would coincide with your new phone.

Let me know if you have any more questions and we’ll be happy to help you further.

Thanks

Wayne

Re: On 3rd HTC Wildfire S

Thanks for the reply Wayne.

My local Vodafone store has already done this & the signal is fine.  They gave me a new sim as well as I heard sometimes this can be the problem.  Could it be anything to do with 2g or 3g, I don;t really understand that but have read something like that online?

Thanks again

Re: On 3rd HTC Wildfire S

Update - Returned HTC to the Vodafone store & went back to my sim only contract. Went to carphone warehouse & took out contract on Galaxy Ace, couldn;t take it out at Vodafone store as they wanted £99 for the handset.
So, new contract, new phone, new sim & number - first phone call I made, it cut off. I know it can't be the phones, maybe my area or because it's a smart phone? My daughter is with Orange & has an HTC & hers never cuts off. The guy in the Voda store said one of the towers in my area was faulty or something but then why are the cheaper handsets that members of my family own not being cut off.

Really thinking I may need to change network & I don;t want to.

Re: On 3rd HTC Wildfire S

Hi Karen267.

Thank you for your post, it is great to see you again.:smileyhappy:

I understand your frustration, we have been experiencing difficulties in your area abut should now have been rectified, there is further information on another thread where you can see our official statement.

As Wayne has mentioned different handsets pick up differences within signal, is any other person using Vodafone with no difficulties as it may well be the handset.

We would love to keep you as a customer and if you have any further queries please do not hesitate to post.

Many Thanks

Re: On 3rd HTC Wildfire S

I am now on my 2nd galaxy Ace & it's just the same, definately a newtork problem, there's no way it can be all these handsets.  Really considering leaving Vodafone as this has been going on for weeks now.
